Cement stock held on to their firm undertone near the close on the NSE on Tuesday. The top gainer on the bourse, however, was Cipla, which was buoyed by approval it received for sale of its combination inhaler Serroflo in the German and Swedish markets.
At 3.10 pm Cipla was trading at ₹557.10 as against ₹529.15 at close on Monday. This was a gain of 5.28 per cent.
Grasim Industries strode up in the afternoon session to hold gains of 4.38 per cent at ₹3,627. The stock had ended Monday’s session at ₹3,474.70.
Bharti Airtel maintained its firm undertone to quote at ₹390.95. This represented a gain of 4.03 per cent on its overnight close at ₹375.80.
ACC rode up 3.26 per cent at ₹1,548.45 as against ₹1,499.55 at close yesterday.
Ambuja Cement firmed up to trade at ₹214.75 as against ₹208.45 at close on Monday. This was a gain of 3.02 per cent.
