Kotak Mahindra Bank came off its early highs to trade up 3.85 per cent at ₹1,201.25 on the NSE in late trading on Friday. The share had closed the previous session at ₹1,156.70. The share had gained over 9 per cent earlier today, following Thursday's announcement that it had acquired ING Vysya Bank for ₹15,000 crore.
State Bank of India edged up further to hold gains of 2.93 per cent at ₹305.8 as against ₹297.10 at close yesterday.
Punjab National Bank was also the uptrend, gaining 2.65 per cent to trade at ₹977.80 as against ₹952.55 at close yesterday.
ICICI Bank was trading at ₹1,731.90 as against ₹1,687.95 at close on Thursday. This was a gain of 2.6 per cent.
Hindalco Industries held firm to quote at ₹159.85. This was a gain of 2.47 per cent on its overnight close at ₹156.
