NTPC, Reliance Industries and TCS were the only stocks that were in the green by the close on the BSE on Friday. The day was marked by a heavy sell-off amid global concern that the Chinese economy had cooled off.
At 3.05 p.m. NTPC was trading at Rs 131.50, as against Rs 131.10 at close on Thursday. This was a gain of 0.31 per cent.
Reliance Industries held steady to quote at Rs 868.65 or 0.30 per cent up on its earlier close of Rs 866.05.
TCS was narrowly in the green at Rs 2,255. This was barely 0.04 per cent higher than its previous close of Rs 2,254.15.
