Shares of Idea Cellular will remain in focus on Tuesday, as the company's first quarter financial performance in the current fiscal exceeded expectations.
Idea Cellular, in which Malaysia's Axiata owns a stake, announced the result after the market hours of Monday. It reported a 57.2 per cent jump in consolidated quarterly net profit at ₹728 crore, up from ₹463 crore a year ago.
Analysts had expected the company to report a profit of about ₹630 crore.
