Energy sector majors Reliance Industries, GAIL and NTPC werer among the predominant gainers on the BSE on Friday.
At 3.40 pm Reliance Industries had gained 2.47 per cent to trade at ₹1,031.95 as against its previous close of ₹1,007.10.
HDFC Bank extended its morning gains to quote at ₹856.35. This represented a 2.29 per cent gain on its previous previous close at ₹837.20.
Dr Reddy’s trimmed some of its morning gains by the close. It was trading at ₹2,678, up 1.54 per cent on its previous close of ₹2,637.30.
GAIL (India) sailed up 1.36 per cent at ₹464.90 as against ₹458.65 at close yesterday.
NTPC powered up 1.17 per cent at ₹159.40 as against ₹157.55 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 1.17 per cent.
