The committee of directors of Sintex Industries on Thursday allotted 70.22 lakh equity shares of ₹1 each to foreign currency convertible bondholders on the exercise of their conversion right. The company had, in 2012, issued $140 million, 7.5 per cent, step-down convertible bonds due in 2017. Following the allotment, the paid-up equity share capital of the company has increased to ₹41.40 crore from ₹40.70 crore. The stock of Sintex Industries closed at ₹114.6 on the NSE, up 1.4 per cent.
