Somany Ceramics on Tuesday informed the exchanges that it has completed the expansion of its Kassar plant (Bahadurgarh) in Haryana and commenced commercial production on Monday. The plant will produce 4 million square metres of glazed vitrified tiles annually. The commercial production has commenced ahead of its scheduled timeline of first quarter of FY16-17. The total capacity of the Kassar plant post the expansion rose to 17.13 million square metres a year, the company said. Shares of Somany Ceramics edged up 0.67 per cent at ₹382.35 on the NSE.
