Larsen & Toubro vaulted 2.48 per cent by the close to lead the pack on the BSE on Wednesday. At 3.40 pm it was quoting at ₹1,377.30 as against ₹1,344 at close on Tuesday.
GAIL (India) also swung up to post gains of 1.48 per cent at ₹384.20, as against its previous close of ₹378.60.
BHEL shed some of its morning gains by the close. It was up 1.42 per cent at ₹189.30 as against ₹186.65 at close on Tuesday.
Tata Steel moved up 1.32 per cent to quote at ₹426.60. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹421.05.
M&M made rapid gains to trade at ₹1,036.75 as against ₹1,024.30 at close on Tuesday. This represented a gain of 1.22 per cent.
