Tata Motors sped up on the BSE ahead of the close on Friday. At 2.55 p.m. the stock was quoting at Rs 386.85. This represented a gain of 2.90 per cent on its overnight close of Rs 375.95.
GAIL (India) was trading at Rs 357.70 as against Rs 351.10 at close yesterday. This represented a gain of 1.88 per cent.
NTPC made further ground by late trading to quote at Rs 132.45 as against Rs 130.15 at close on Thursday. This represented a gain of 1.77 per cent.
TCS inched up to hold gains of 1.70 per cent in late trade. It was quoting at Rs 2,170.10 near the close as against its overnight close of Rs 2,133.75.
Infosys moved up 1.68 per cent to quote at Rs 3,646.80. The stock had closed yesterday's session at Rs 3,586.45.
