Tata Power maintained its position as the top gainer on the BSE near the close on Monday. At 3.20 pm Tata Power was trading at ₹110.95, up 3.50 per cent on Friday's close at ₹107.20.
IT players Infosys and TCS also extended their gains above 3 per cent near the close. While Infosys was trading at ₹3,340, up 3.11 per cent on its earlier close of ₹3,239.15, TCS was trading at ₹2,483.30, a gain of 3.05 per cent. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹2,409.80.
Sun Pharma Industries rose 2.75 per cent at ₹728 as against ₹708.55 at close last week.
Tata Motors was trading up 2.21 per cent at ₹478.80. It had finished the previous week at ₹468.45.
