Tata Power Co extended its morning gains on the BSE by the close of trading on Tuesday. At 3.45 p.m. the stock was trading at Rs 82.20, up 4.12 per cent on its overnight close of Rs 78.95.
The BSE Sensex ended the day down 108 points at 21,826. In early session the benchmark index hit a high of 22,000 before dropping lower by close.
ONGC gained 1.07 per cent to trade at Rs 322.50, as against Rs 319.10 at close yesterday.
Hind Unilever was up 0.73 per cent at Rs 560.95 as against its Monday close at Rs 556.90.
Tata Motors rode up 0.56 per cent to trade at 398.10 as against its overnight close of Rs 395.90.
BHEL posted modest gains to close at Rs 188.85. This was 0.51 per cent up on its previous close of Rs 187.90.
