Metal stocks Hindalco Industries and Tata Steel maintained their firm undertone on the bourses on Tuesday. Hindalco Industries was the top gainer on the NSE as well, ending the day at ₹170.50, up 3.43 per cent on its previous close at ₹164.85.
Tata Steel edged up a tad to trade at ₹524.95. This represented a gain of 2.53 per cent on its previous close at ₹512.
Lupin perked up 1.95 per cent at ₹1,288 as against ₹1,263.35 at close on Monday.
Tech Mahindra was quoting at ₹2,353.35. This represented a gain of 1.72 per cent on its overnight close at ₹2,313.65.
GAIL (India) held firm to keep gains of 1.63 per cent at ₹434.35 as against ₹427.40 at close yesterday.
