Wipro extended its morning gains to end ahead of the pack on the BSE on Tuesday. At 3.30 p.m. it was quoting at Rs 594.40, a gain of 2.82 per cent on its overnight close of Rs 578.10.
Bajaj Auto rode up 2.14 per cent to trade at Rs 1,902 as against its overnight close of Rs 1,862.10.
BHEL made further ground by close to trade at Rs 159.60. This represented a gain of 2.01 per cent on its earlier close of Rs 156.45.
Cipla perked up in afternoon trade to quote at Rs 373.90. This was a gain of 1.74 per cent on its overnight close of Rs 367.50.
Telecom stock Bharti Airtel held firm to gain 1.36 per cent by close. It was trading at Rs 286.75. The stock had closed Monday’s session at Rs 282.90.
