Naveen suffered a serious injury in his right eye when he was six years old. It was caused by an arrow shot by some children playing bows and arrows during Ram Lila celebrations. It resulted in permanent damage, making him visually handicapped. Unfortunately, the resultant blindness marginally falls short of the level required to qualify him for the benefit available to physically disabled persons. In spite of the handicap, he is working with determination to qualify as a CA. He has opted for the Hindi medium. He passed his PEI in the second attempt, securing 225 marks, and is now pursuing PEII. He is also attending the compulsory Computer Training Programme. His poor financial background does create problems for him but he is quite serious in his mission. He gets some help and guidance from a few well-wishers. He is also in receipt of a need- and merit-based scholarship from the Institute. He deserves further support and encouragement. C. R. T. Varma New Delhi
