Don't work too hard

Mr N. N. Subramanian

Mr N. N. Subramanian is a Director and Co-founder of Maveric Systems, a dedicated independent software testing firm. He did his Management from MDI, Gurgaon after graduating in commerce from Delhi University. Here's his take on four questions from Business Line:

Two things that my education/training taught me:

You are always a student.

Don't work too hard.

Two things I learnt from my work/real life:

To be a good manager or leader, one needs to have a heart full of abundance, generosity, gratitude and compassion.

Our mind, with its fears and filters, is probably the only factor that limits what we can potentially achieve.

One quality I look for the most in a new recruit:

Fire in the belly — hunger for that opportunity.

A book that I read recently:

A Short History of Nearly Everything, by Bill Bryson
