Knowledge has a shelf-life

L. S. Venkatesh

L. S. Venkatesh is General Manager of Edutech India that provides technology-enabled learning and performance management solutions, operating in India, West Asia, the US and the Far East. A management graduate from BITS-Pilani, Venkatesh was instrumental in expanding Edutech's operations across West Asia, setting up the India operations and forging strategic alliances and partnerships. Here's his take on four questions from Business Line:

Two things that my education/ training taught me:

Knowledge has a shelf-life. Always be ready to unlearn and relearn.

Intellectual honesty is key to acquisition of new knowledge.

Two things I learnt from my work/ real life:

Be inspired to perspire.

A lot of people contribute to your success. It is important to acknowledge that.

One quality I look for the most in a new recruit.

Courage to be honest.

A book that I read recently:

High Performance Entrepreneur by Subrato Bagchi.
