People Don’t let the downs in life deter you
Ms Geetanjali Kirloskar has been a leading advertising professional. She is now chairperson of the India-Japan Initiative (IJI) from Kirloskar, a non-profit trust started by her. She is also on the board of the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF) and Co-Chairperson of the India-Japan Business Council of FICCI. Here’s her take on four questions from Business Line: Two things that my education/ training taught me: Use facts in addition to gut feel to take a decision. Follow a systematic approach. Two things I learnt from my work/real life: Passion and gut feel must be applied to work. There are always ups and downs in life and at work — don’t let the downs deter you. Come out from every crisis stronger. One quality I look for the most in a new recruit: His ability to carry people with him and work with a strong sense of belonging to the organisation. A book that I read recently. I enjoy biographies, currently reading Dare to Dream on M. S. Oberoi.
