Exploring prospects for a marine biologist

I am interested in becoming a marine biologist. What are the career prospects?

S. Sunilkumar

You need to first have a strong Masters degree in this domain followed by a Ph.D. from a reputed university. You should make your mark as a researcher.

Depending upon your attainment and track record, you can be:

A researcher in a university,

A researcher in an oceanographic laboratory,

A teacher in a university,

A technical consultant,

A biologist or a resource manager in an environmental advocacy organisation, or

A biologist in a zoo or an aquarium
