Budget Budget 2008: Views invited This is an invitation to teachers and students, expats in India, and NRIs... seeking inputs to Budget2008Reactions@gmail.com, close on the heels of the Budget 2008, which is to be presented by the Finance Minister on February 29, 2008. How to go about?NRIs: Mail in your views (in about 100 words max) along with your photo (preferably hi-res), on any specific proposal, and add your brief profile too. Connect with Budget2008Reactions@gmail.com . Expats in India: Air your thoughts on any Budget announcement, and add a line or two on how it compares to what prevails back ‘home’. Words 100. Send your inputs, photo and profile to Budget2008Reactions@gmail.com . And lecturers/teachers: If your students are watching the Budget Speech live on TV on February 29, 2008, here is some work for you. Identify those proposals of the Finance Minister which you think can have an impact on the common man (includes common woman), and then have your students connect with the common man (or the aam aadmi, in Delhi-speak) to get his/her views on the Budget announcement. Have them translate the views to English, if necessary, transcribe and mail to Budget2008Reactions@gmail.com , in about 100 words along with photos (aam aadmi’s and the student’s, identifying who’s who).
