Eco-plan in MF schemes

What is an ‘eco-plan’ in the context of mutual fund schemes?

Preeti Padmanaban, Mannargudi

It is an economy plan meant ironically for the big-ticket investors who are offered concession in the matter of administrative cost in lieu of settling for email statements and communications.

It is common knowledge that establishing contacts with clients and customers these days through the Net is infinitely cheaper and, hence, this encouragement. The resultant savings in cost is shared with the customer under this plan.
