Revenues from retail and wholesale banking operations has boosted Canara Bank’s profits for the third quarter (Q3) of the financial year 2016-17. The bank has posted a profit of Rs 321. 88 crore for Q3 of the financial year 2016-17. For the same period last year, the bank’s net profit stood at Rs 84.97 crore.
The bank’s total income for Q3 was flat at Rs 12,079.37 crore as against Rs 12,050.63 crore in the same period last year. EPS (basic) stood at Rs 5.93 (last year Rs 1.56).
Segment revenues: Treasury operations was Rs 3,693.92 crore (last year Rs 3,167.90 crore), retail banking operations Rs 4,410.98 crore (last year Rs 3,613.01 crore), wholesale banking operations Rs 3,972.79 crore (last year Rs 5,249.20 crore) and unallocated Rs 1.68 crore (last year Rs 20.52 crore).
