Delhi’s historic Purana Qila will resound with the music of bands from Afghanistan, Bhutan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh among 14 rock groups from the SAARC next month.
The 8th edition of South Asian Bands Festival, from November 7–9, is being presented by Ministry of External Affairs, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Seher.
This year, the festival features performance by Alobo Naga and The Band (ANB) from Dimapur, Nagaland, formed in 2010, Pakistani singing sensation Zebunissa Bangash, who recently made her foray into Bollywood with her hit tracks in films like Madras Café and Highway, as also a band from France (a guest country) called ‘Success’ .
This time, the electronic-rock band formed by film music composer Vishal Dadlani, called “Pentagram”, an official release said.
