Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials have found contraband gold weighing 4 kg concealed inside the toilet of an aircraft that arrived at Kochi airport from Dubai. A Tamil Nadu resident, who had boarded the plane from Dubai, was arrested. DRI and Customs authorities, who had received secret information of the smuggling, had checked all the passengers on arrival at the Kochi airport. Then they checked the aircraft and found gold concealed in the toilet. The passenger had rebooked on the same aircraft for Bangalore.
