Andhra Pradesh Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar has adjourned the proceedings minutes after it assembled this morning.

Seemandhra legislators continued their protests over the bifurcation of the state after the house resumed proceedings.

The house will meet after Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meetings of the two houses.

Speaker Nadendla Manohar held the meeting with his Depty Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and others on Tuesday to take a call on discussion on the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill that was introduced in both the Houses yesterday.

Both the Houses could not continue the proceedings after the Bill was introduced on Monday. Acrimonious scenes were witnessed in the Houses and outside, with pro and anti bifurcation groups shouting slogans.

While Telangana Rashtra Samithi and D Sreedhar Babu, the Legislative Affairs Minister, claimed that the discussion on the Bill was initiated, the Seemandhra leaders argued that the House was adjourned without starting a discussion.

The Business Advisory Committee is expected to meet today to take a call on the issue. Both TRS and Sreedhar Babu had said that the Opposition parties had agreed for introducing the Bill and initiating discussion when the Bill arrived.

After the introduction of the Bill yesterday, the Speaker had to adjourn the House with Seemandhra legislators did not allow him to initiate discussion on the Bill. Integrationist legislators belonging to YSR Congress Party and Telugu Desam Party tore the copies of the bill, triggering protests by Telangana MLAs.

After Legislative Affairs Minister D Sreedhar Babu welcomed the Bill and the House resumed proceedings in the afternoon, Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka invited the Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu.

Telangana leaders, cutting across party lines, have condemned the disruptions to the proceedings and demanded discussion on the Bill.

With Seemandhra legislators continuing their protest in the House, the Deputy Speaker had adjourned the House till today.
