The Andhra Pradesh Government will render all the help needed in the expansion of the capacity of the Visakhapatnam steel plant (Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited) from the present six million tonnes to 10 million tonnes and the management should take the requisite steps, said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
He was speaking at Anakapalle in Visakhapatnam district during his two-day tour of the district which began on Friday.
He said Visakhapatnam will be developed with special focus on tourism, IT sector and film industry.
He said his Government will develop the port city to its full potential. At a farmers’ convention at Chodavaram, he said they need not worry about farm loan waivers or rescheduling of farm loans, though certain issues had to be sorted out.
