Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday directed officials to step up utilisation of funds against the State’s plan size of Rs 28,000 crore for this fiscal and monitor progress in execution of projects to ensure quality of work.

Presiding over a review meeting of the Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments on status of funds earmarked for plan head in 2012-13, he expressed dissatisfaction with poor utilisation of funds in the first four months of this fiscal against the ratio of plan size.
