Parliament was adjourned till noon today amid uproar over issues including Telangana and Home Minister’s “insulting” letter to the Bihar Chief Minister besides death of children in Muzaffarnagar relief camps.

Both Houses witnessed noisy scenes with members belonging to different political parties trooping into the Well, leading to their adjournment within minutes after they met for the day.

In Lok Sabha, JD(U) members carrying placards opposed the “insulting” letter written by Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar highlighting the alleged failure of the state government to tackle Naxal problem.

BSP members displayed newspaper reports to raise the issue of death of around 40 children in Muzaffarnagar relief camps and came to the Well demanding action.

MPs from Tamil Nadu trooped in the Well protesting the arrest of 150 Indian fishermen by Sri Lankan Navy.

Seemandhra MPs, including YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy, were on their feet protesting creation of Telangana and demanded a united Andhra Pradesh.

As members continued their protests, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House till noon.

In Rajya Sabha, BSP members tried to raise the issue of Muzaffarnagar riots even before Chairman Hamid Ansari took his seat.

Ansari said he has received as many as seven notices for suspension of Question Hour.

BSP members then rushed into the Well shouting slogans demanding dismissal of Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh Government.

TDP members opposing bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh also marched into the Well hold banners saying “Save Andhra Pradesh”.

TMC members held placards demanding that Delhi Police arrest Justice (retd) A.K Ganguly, accused of harassing a woman law intern.

MPs from Tamil Nadu protested the arrest of fishermen in Sri Lanka.

JD(U) and SP members too were on their feet but could not be heard in the din.

Amidst ruckus, Ansari adjourned the House till noon.
