Cancer Genetics Inc, which provides DNA-based diagnostics for various cancers, is strengthening its India operations.
The New Jersey-headquartered Cancer Genetics has appointed Mandar Kulkarni as Chief Technology Officer for India.
Kulkarni, who is based in Hyderabad, did a stint with Sandor Life Sciences prior to joining here. He will lead the company’s efforts in expanding technology programmes in the country.
A graduate of Pune University and doctorate from Purdue University, US, Kulkarni says: “India has a growing need for advanced oncology services and the company has the technology wherewithal to help improve cancer treatment and affect many lives in our community in a positive way.”
Cancer Genetics has developed DNA-based tests which can diagnose a range of difficult cancers. It has established clinical research collaborations with major cancer centres such as Memorial Sloan-Kettering, The Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, and the National Cancer Institute, according to a press release
