Indian Oil Corporation Ltd along with The Hindu In School is organising the The Hindu In School Xtra Premium Quiz – 2017 in Guwahati. The competition will be held on Saturday, May 27.
The Hindu In School has been organising quiz competitions every year across the country.
The quiz contest will see the participation of 160 teams from around 75 schools and five colleges.
The competition will be organised at the Pragjyoti ITA Cultural Complex, MG Road, Machkhowa, Guwahati.
Students from Class VII to XII are eligible to participate in the contest that will be conducted through two specially designed rounds.
While the elimination round will be a written one with MCQ (multi choice questions), the final round will be a multimedia-based audio-visual. Six teams will make it to the Grand Finale (from the elimination round).
Registration opens from 9 am at the venue on May 27. Goutam Bose will be the quiz master.
The Vice-Chancellor of Guwahati University, Mridul Hazarika, has consented to be the Chief Guest; while Dipankar Ray, Executive Director, Indian Oil Corporation, will be the Guest of Honour.
Other office-bearers of IOCL including Uttiya Bhattacharya,GM – Retail Sales, and MKK Pegoo, Chief Divisional RSM, IOCL will also be present.
