Spanish pop sensation Enrique Iglesias’ hour-long maiden performance here left the crowd beguiled as he belted out some of his old hits ‘Hero’, ‘Baby you like it’ and ‘Bailamos’.
The singer started his gig two hours late but the audience did not seem to mind the delay. As he made his way to the stage with a ‘Namaste Delhi’, the 10,000-odd crowd went crazy.
The 37-year-old, dressed in casual jeans, T-shirt and his trademark cap, started the gig last night with ‘Tonight I Am Loving You’.
Enrique kept his performance brief but made up for the delay by interacting and inviting his fans on stage to sing and dance with him.
The singer, who enjoys a huge female fan following across the world, even invited a 15-year-old girl on stage and devoted his track ‘Hero’ to her.
The pop star clearly enjoyed the enthusiasm of the crowd, saying, “This is why I love India. We have been to so many nations but nobody makes me feel like India does,” he said.
He then went on to belt out hits like ‘Rhythm Divine’, ’Escape’, ‘Don’t Turn Off The Lights’, ‘Be with You’, ‘Not in Love’ and ‘Tired of Being Sorry’.
The Micromax Enrique Iglesias tour will come to an end when he performs in Bangalore on October 21.
