Kolkata-based Express Advisory Services has been awarded as the “Best ICT Company in Agri Sector (SME Category)” by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
The award, which was handed out at the international conference on agribusiness and food processing held in Hyderabad, was given for Express Advisory’s contribution in the agriculture sector by providing information technology support related to weather forecasting, according to a company press statement.
According to Angshujyoti Das, CEO, Express Advisory, weather forecasting is an important support tool in the agriculture sector.
“By adopting indigenous and new technology, we hope that such support system will benefit the agriculture sector and the related supply chain management,” he said in the statement.
