Hyderabad will host a three-day Dairy Show from Saturday. The event would throw light on the issues and challenges the industry is facing. It would also showcase the latest technological tools and best practices to help farmers and other stakeholders increase productivity. The show would line up indigenous and other exotic buffalo and cow breeds that would be put on display at the HITEX facility at Madhapur here. The event would include a conference on dairy farming on Sunday and a dairy tour for emerging entrepreneurs on Monday.

The Karnataka State Sugarcane Growers’ Association and the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene have given a bandh call on Saturday to protest against the alleged indifference of the Union and state governments towards the problems of farmers. The association said political parties would be kept away from the bandh and farmers, social organisations and pro-Kannada organisations would be involved.
