Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi will visit New Delhi today, her first visit after becoming the State Counsellor. Suu Kyi will be meeting President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. The Myanmar is leader will also interact with businessmen for enhancing economic ties.

Farmers’ organisations of Tamil Nadu will be going on a 48-hour Rail Roko agitation on the Cauvery issue. DMK has said it will participate in the agitation to urge the government set up a Cauvery Management Board.

China will launch a two-manned space mission on Monday. The Shenzhou 11 mission will launch at 7.30 am and the astronauts will dock with the Tiangong 2 space laboratory. The astronauts are expected spend one month in the mission.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to be questioned today in the Swedish rape investigation. Swedish authorities want to question Mr. Assange (45) over allegations that he committed rape in 2010. Mr. Assange denies the allegations. He will be interviewed at Equador’s London Embassy where he has taken refugee since 2010.
