India and China will hold the next round of special representatives talks today. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will raise the issue of China blocking the move to get Pakistan-based JeM chief Masood Azhar designated as an international terrorist. The two-day talks in Beijing, the 19th round of such parleys, will focus on boundary and strategic issues.

VS Achuthanandan, Kerala left’s popular campaigner, will kick off his tour for the Assembly polls in Kerala today from Kasargod. Achuthanandan will campaign non-stop till May 2 with just a day’s break on April 25.

Students of the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar, will stage a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi today against the HRD ministry’s handling of the NIT row. The students feel the ministry is not in favour of the NIT students’ community and that their demands are not being addressed well by MHRD.

Google is expected to launch the Chromecast Audio in Delhi today. The small circular device connects to speakers, and lets users stream music using Wi-Fi Direct. The Chromecast is connected to the speakers via a 3.5mm, RCA or Optical digital input jack.

The third India Water Forum will open in Delhi today. The three-day convention aims to identify challenges in ensuring adequate quantities of acceptable quality of water and seek solutions. The event is being organised by TERI in association with the water resources ministry.
