A team of executives from Nasscom is visiting Washington DC between February 22 and 24 to reach out to the new US administration as well as engage with senators on concerns around the clampdown on visas and flow of skilled manpower between the two countries. The delegation will highlight and share information with the new US administration on direct jobs being created by Indian IT companies in the US, and contribution of Indian IT firms in making the US economy competitive.

The designs of Amaravati administrative city will be finalised on Wednesday. Master architects of London — Norman Foster informed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that they would submit the final designs on February 22. The CM has said Amaravati should reflect the cultural glory of India and particularly in AP.

LG is expected to unveil the 2017 ‘K’-series of smartphones in New Delhi on Wednesday. IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will be the chief guest, hinting that the new smartphones will be made in India, as Prasad had earlier attended the launch of the K7 LTE and K10 LTE ‘Made in India’ smartphones in April last year. LG has refreshed its K-series of smartphones – the K3 (2017), K4 (2017), K8 (2017) and K10 (2017) – and said it is designed with the “diverse needs of consumers in mind”. The mid-end smartphone also features a 120-degree wide angle front camera lens and the rear fingerprint scanner.

India and China will hold their first Strategic Dialogue on Wednesday in Beijing during which the two sides will discuss key issues of mutual “concern and interest”, including “friction points”. Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar and Executive Vice-Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui will co-chair the meet to discuss “all issues of mutual interest in bilateral, regional and international domain.”
