Customs officials at Kochi airport seized nearly 2 kg of smuggled gold, valued at around ₹ 57 lakhs from a passenger arriving from Dubai. Of the 17 gold coins the passenger had tried to smuggle in, 11 were stuffed in his rectum, and the rest in his trouser pockets. He was arrested.
