India has invited Saudi Arabian oil and gas companies, including Saudi Aramco, to participate and invest in crude oil storage facilities and downstream industries in the country.
This was done during the visit of Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Petroleum and Natural Gas, to Saudi Arabia.
During the meetings Pradhan had with his Saudi counterparts, both sides discussed specific issues concerning public sector oil companies in India and Saudi Arabia. India also conveyed the country’s growing requirement for crude oil as it plans to increase refining capacity in the country, an official statement said.
Pradhan held bilateral energy consultations with Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Asistant Minister for Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
