Life Circle Health Services, a Hyderabad-based home nursing and professional healthcare services provider, has raised $1,50,000 from the European healthcare services provider GROUPE SOS.
“The funds will help us further penetrate in the Hyderabad market and expand our services to New Delhi,” Life Circle founder and Chief Executive Officer Anant Kumar said.
The company targets to cover 20 cities in the next four years. Besides investing in the start-up, the European firm would also share its technical know-how and international best practices.
The startup was incubated at T-Hub, the incubator set up by the Telangana government in association with the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-H), Indian School of Business and National University of Law (Nalsar).
Life Circle said it has provided 1.50 lakh hours of professional ‘care giving’ services since its inception. “We provide trained and verified caregivers,” Anant Kumar said in a statement.
T-Hub Chief Operating Officer Srinivas Kollipara said that about 36 per cent of senior citizens in urban areas are immobile. “This number grows significantly as they cross 70 years. There is a huge need for professional home nursing and care giving services in the country as family members are not able to take care of their elders,” he said.
