West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is paying a five-day official visit to Singapore from today.
Banerjee is visiting the city state at the invitation of Singapore Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam.
She is accompanied by senior officials from the West Bengal government.
Banerjee is scheduled to call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong tomorrow, the Singapore Foreign Ministry said.
Shanmugam will host an official lunch for Banerjee on August 21.
The Chief Minister will be the guest of honour and deliver a keynote address at the West Bengal Business Forum on Wednesday.
The Forum meeting will be organised by the Singapore Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) along with state trade agency, IE Singapore, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI).
