Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that there is no blot on his government after its assumed charge on May 26, 2014. Enthused by repeated shouts of ‘Modi-Modi,’ he said people in politics normally forget promises made in the past, adding that he is not a politician, but a ‘sewadaar’ (worker).
He said that when he addressed a rally on April 4 last year, he had promised to look into people’s demands when he will be in power. Accordingly, on Wednesday, he announced the conversion of the local Ispat General Hospital into a super-speciality hospital.
He also announced that the Centre will give ₹50 crore for ‘Nabakalebar’ of Lord Jagannath, a tradition taking place after 20 years to replace the old wooden idol with a new one.
