A group of 22 young business leaders and entrepreneurs, part of CII’s (Confederation of Indian Industry) Young Indians (Yi), is attending the G20 summit at Berlin today and tomorrow.
Delegations from the following countries are attending the summit: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Europe, France, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the US and the UK.
GLOBAL NETWORK
The G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA) is a global network of approximately five lakh young entrepreneurs and organisations that support them.
In conjunction with the 2016 G20 Leaders’ Summit in Hangzhou, China, hundreds of young entrepreneurs, had met in Beijing for the annual G20 YEA summit from September 8 to 10, 2016.
This gathering proceeded to consolidate collaboration among the world’s young entrepreneurs that began originally in Italy at G8 summit in 2009 and continued at successive G20 YEA Summits in Canada, France, Mexico, Russia, Australia and Turkey.
RECOGNISED BODY
Shaurya Veer Himatsingka, past national chairman, Young Indians, and President, G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA) said that Yi is a recognised body and a part of the official G20 process.
It has been instrumental in engaging and contributing to impact the findings of the G20 in raising awareness and addressing the issues of emerging entrepreneurs across the globe.
Jacob Joy, National Chairman, Young Indians and Sherpa, G20 YEA, said that it is a pleasure for Yi to represent India on an esteemed global platform.

YOUNGSTERS’ DREAM
Yi was formed in the year 2002 with an objective of creating a platform for young Indians to realise the dream of a developed nation.
It has around 2,600 direct members in 40 chapters, and engages around 8,500 students under the brand ‘Yuva’.
The members include young progressive Indians between the age group of 21 and 40 and counts among them entrepreneurs, professionals and achievers from different walks of life.
Its vision is ‘To become the Voice of Young Indians Globally’ and it provides a platform for young Indians to participate in and contribute by becoming an integral part of the Indian growth story.
Yi's work is divided primarily into three groups; ‘Youth Leadership,’ ‘Nation Building’ and ‘Thought Leadership.’
