The Andhra Pradesh Government is drawing up plans to make the most of Sagarmala project, identifying 90 projects entailing investment of Rs 1,30,762 crores, according to a press release.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has constituted a 33-member committee to monitor the implementation of these projects. He himself will be the chairman of the committee which will conduct periodical reviews.

Visakhapatnam Port Trust will be the nodal agency for the implementation of inland waterways projects. Two industrial corridors and five SEZs will be part of the project.

The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to prepare action plans, port-wise as well as cluster-wise, for all these projects and submit them to the Union Government.
