Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate work on the construction of 75 industrial units (MSMEs) at the industrial cluster near Amaravati on Sept 30, the Vijayadasami day.

According to Ravikumar Vemuru, the president of the AP Non-resident Telugu Society, it was being promoted by Telugu origin people staying abroad at Veerapanenigudem near the new capital. He said the society was formed after the CM's visit to the UK in 2016, with 30 entrepreneurs, and the number has grown to 145.

The State Government has allotted lands to the society to set up the MSMEs and in the first phase 75 units are coming up in different fields, such as aerospace components, machine spares, home appliances and others. The cluster will generate employment to 2,600 persons.

He said the objective of the society was to promote AP, bring global investments and companies into the state, attracting global companies owned by Telugu people.

The society would also facilitate village development under the Smart Village Smart Ward programme in an accountable way on behalf of NRTs through their donations.

Partnerships would be developed between foreign universities and educational institutes in AP, he added.

NRTs would actively participate in the growth story of AP after bifurcation, he said.
