The 3rd edition of Valve Technology Conclave is slated for May 27 at Hotel Le Meridien here.
The theme of this biennial conclave is “Moving up the Value Chain”. Organised by CII, Coimbatore zone, the meet willfocus on the need to build on the foundation and make plans for a bigger share in the global market.
“Almost all global valve majors have either a manufacturing facility or back office for providing engineering and purchase support service in the country. Coimbatore incidentally has a significant presence in this space,” said Ramesh Babu, Event Chairman, Valve Technology Conclave 2016.
The valve industry has over the last decade grown at an average of 10 per cent, clocking revenue of $1.5 billion annually. Exports account for about $600 million of the total revenue.
“It is time for the industry to move up the chain and look at providing value based niche services at the top of the pyramid,” observed Nethra J S Kumar, Chairperson, CII, Coimbatore.
