Israel showcased its technology innovations in an interactive exhibition organised as part of its 68th Independence celebrations in Bengaluru.
The exhibition showcased the progress made by Israel in efficient environment technology solutions, life-saving medical feats, and in computing information and communication technologies.
As part of the country’s Independence Day celebrations, a traditional Jewish ‘Challah Bread’ ceremony was held along with Karnataka Ministers K J George, M B Patil and Bengaluru Mayor Manjunath Reddy and the Bengaluru Commissioner of Police Megarikh.
Speaking on the occasion, Consul-General, Ms Yael Hashavit said, “Israel is a small country, over half of which is a desert, with very few natural resources. The unique experience as our region’s only democratic country, has fostered one of the world most resilient and surprisingly optimistic people, who always have an eye to a better future.”
“Today Israel is vibrant, creative, spiritually and materially. Our roads, constructions, technologies, economy, society, culture are leading in the world. We look forward to assisting and sharing with our Indian friends some of Israel’s experience that might be of use to them,” she added.
