The Karnataka government has launches ‘Elevate’, a programme to fast-track the 100 most innovative start-ups, the ones deemed to grow and scale the fastest and most profitably.

The selected start-ups will be eligible to get guidance, consultancy, patent filing facilitation, legal assistance and funding. The selected start-ups will also be given funds from one of the government's programmes, including Idea2PoC Fund, Karasevam Fund, Kitven Fund, AVGC Fund, women's entrepreneurs' fund, and tourism fund.

The state is also collaborating with leading industry bodies including Nasscom, TiE, IAMAI and the Deshpande Foundation.

Priyank Kharge, Karnataka Minister for IT BT & ST and Tourism said, “As part of the programme, Rs 2,500 crore has been allocated for distribution to these deserving start-ups from across sectors, including agriculture, biotech and gaming, and based in different cities, including Hubballi, Kalaburagi, Mysuru, Mangaluru and Bengaluru. Of the Rs 2,500 crore, Rs 17 crore has been distributed to the 51 chosen start-ups.
