Elevate 100 programme of the Karnataka government has received applications from 1,700 start-ups across the state.

The programme is an ambitious exercise for information technology and biotech sectors to be handheld and elevated to commercial stage.

Of the 1,700 start-ups, the top 100 will be selected through a rigorous selection process by an eminent jury consisting of industry representatives.

The representatives have been nominated by knowledge partners TiE, Deshpande Foundation, IESA, Nasscom, ABLE and ABAI.

In the next stage, the start-ups have to make a personal pitch before the jury consisting of three judges. Applicants will be judged based on parameters such as innovation in technology, scalability, revenue model, exit options.

Shortlisted start-ups will move to the next level for final pitch in which they will be judged on more rigorous parameters.
