Consultancy organisation Kitco has been appointed as the special purpose vehicle for carrying out infrastructure development in the education and sports sectors, A.C. Moideen, the State Industries Minister, has said.
Inaugurating the 45th anniversary celebration of Kitco and launching its MSME Handholding services, the Minister said that the micro, small and medium enterprise sector can play a great role in the industrial development of the State.
Kitco's handholding services can provide great support to the MSM enterprises. The government has been giving utmost importance for the development of industrial infrastructure, the Minister said.
Kitco, which was offering its services to major corporate firms till now, has launched the programme with an aim to uplift micro, small and medium enterprises and increase their contribution to the economy. It will provide all kinds support to MSM enterprises to emerge successful. Under the programme, KITCO will provide technological assistance to MSM enterprises to enable them to compete in the highly competitive market.
Established in 1972, the company has successfully implemented more than 600 projects of various sizes across sectors such as aviation, real estate, tourism, roads and bridges, oil and gas and industrial parks. The clientele includes leading public sector institutions such as Airports Authority of India (AAI), Air India, NHAI, HPCL, BPCL, Mumbai Port and Maharashtra Maritime Board.
