International Centre for Free & Open Source Software will organise a meeting here on December 21 and 22 as part of the initiative to expose young professionals to the opportunities in free and open source software and to introduce them to emerging tools, technology and trends. The lead theme is ‘Internet of Things (IoT) with open source hardware,’ said Jayasankar Prasad, director of the International Centre. A project contest on ‘IoT with open source hardware’ is also being conducted. The first prize is a cash award of ₹50,000, followed by first runners-up of ₹25,000 and second runners up, ₹10,000.
