The Technopark-based IT/ITeS player Phykon has brought on industry veteran Alexander Ross Mckenzie as director of its Australian operations.
Mckenzie will drive Phykon’s existing and soon-to-be-acquired businesses in Australia and India.
Branching outMcKenzie has over 25 years’ experience in senior strategic and transformation leadership roles with major global organisations across Australasia, Europe and North America.
Phykon has been working with clients in Australia from various industry verticals and has major presence in the Australian dairy industry. It is now branching out into other industrial segments in Australia.
It is in the final stages of acquiring stakes in an Australian company whose clientele includes some of the biggest corporations Down Under, according to Prathish Vijay, CEO.
According to him, McKenzie’s coming on board is a very significant development for Phykon. McKenzie would play a key role in developing not just new international business relationships but also existing relationships in Australia and the US.
Recruitment drivePhykon’s corporate office in Sydney will see a lot of increased activity in terms of recruitment and expansion in the coming years, Vijay said.
“We plan to recruit close to 500 staff members in the coming year and also plan to open offices in multiple locations worldwide.”
